Sawasdee ka. My name is Gift. I am a Bangkokian obsessed with Japanese anime and manga, South Korean boy bands SHINee and NCT, and world travel. I am a homebody, almost always in “power saving mode”, but I will perk up at any opportunity to travel in Thailand and abroad. I sometimes travel with my family and close friends, but mostly, I am a solo traveler.
I first got into solo traveling in 2011. Since then, I have been exploring almost everything, from nature to culture and architecture. My travel interests also include doing fangirl’s pilgrimages for my favorite anime, manga, video games, and K-pop groups (my Oikawa, Doyoung, and Jaehyun dolls have been joining most of my trips since 2019).
I had the opportunity of a lifetime to study in Nagoya, Japan, from 2019-2022 and I really love traveling in Japan, so this blog features mostly Japan travel content with some personal reminiscences of my time there. I am now back to working in Bangkok, so I only go on a journey occasionally and write slowly, but my love for traveling will last indefinitely and you can also expect occasional travel content about Thailand and other countries.
I believe our “space” exploration leads to interesting “stories” that are waiting to be told. This blog marks my beginning as a travel storyteller. I focus on honesty and details and add a lot of personal thoughts and photos (both digital and film) to my posts.
